From the falls you continue south along the Pennine Way to Kinder Low one of the highest points on the plateau.

You descend south to Edale Rocks where you turn to the west towards Kinderlow Cavern and back into Hayfield. After your walk we recommend heading to the appropriately named Lantern Pike Inn in Hayfield. The interesting old pub dates from , and has a very good menu. There's also a nice outdoor seating area where you can relax outside and enjoy views of the surrounding hills. We took it slow and stopped quite a bit. Super fun walk, camped just past kinder downfall.

Very nice walk, beautiful views on Kinder Reservoir and Mermaind's Pool. Tough but rewarding walk. I definitely recommend good footwear as the terrain is very mixed!

We did the trail as the arrows showed on the map. I fast I found it quite difficult. The rest of the route was fairly easy and a downward decline through the grass fields.

Really enjoyed it and would be super views on a clear and sunny day. Nice walk. Good steady uphill to start, with great views back over the reservoir. Keep your eye on the directions as we ended going slightly off plan a couple of times. Well worth it though. Great hike. The initial grassy uphill part feels super tough but is worth it for the view.

The route goes around Kinder Scout so make sure you head up the path to the tip and enjoy the surroundings.
